Meet the
Founders

Paragon Research Institute was founded by WafflesDerp and userWuzz, an established pair within the genre preceding the existence of Paragon.

Waffles and Wuzz met 8 years ago in a long defunct Foundation. The two found themselves interested in developing and yearned to create their own experience for others to enjoy. They combined their expertise, Wuzz being a modeler and Waffles a builder. Eventually, they formed Orange Studios, which lasted about 5 months. They used this platform to practice their development skills and garner experience around industry standards. They eventually made their first final product, Black Mesa RP, which is still playable to this day.

Having been major contributors to development in the genre and other large projects, they acted on their desire to create a community of their own, of likeminded people who would enjoy a detail-oriented and lore-rich experience. They took on a third Founder who would contribute to programming for the game, and thus, work on Paragon Research Institute began around March 21, 2022.
